Sean Vallie

Sean Vallie began their career in 1997 when they joined the US Army as a Specialist. During their time there, they were deployed to Kosovo in Operation Joint Guardian to support peacekeeping efforts and earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, NATO Medal, 6 Certificates of Achievement, and the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM) for exceptionally meritorious service. In 2005, they were promoted to Sergeant and successfully led over 200 safe missions in a hostile combat environment during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the Combat Action Badge, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and 2nd Good Conduct Medal. In 2007, they joined Capitalogix as an Investment Analyst and Trading Strategy Developer. During their time there, they developed a fully automated trading strategy creation and testing engine that increased the efficiency in the research and development process by > 1,000% (patent pending), built custom fund reporting systems for internal stakeholders and external clients, and created, tested, and deployed hundreds of custom automated long/short intraday futures trading algorithms used to execute buy/sell orders for futures contracts. In 2014, they were promoted to Director of Investment Operations and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, they built and led the strategic development and operational oversight of the investment operations functions, including client-on-boarding, trade execution and reconciliation, research support, regulatory audit preparation, and Fund reporting. Sean also strengthened the business practices of the firm through a strong compliance framework of internal policies and practices including business continuity, disaster recovery and cyber security. Additionally, they project managed the delivery of the firm's flagship custom order management software that has successfully executed over 50,000 automated orders in various commodity markets.

Sean Vallie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of North Texas and a Graduate Business Analytics Certification (GBACP) - With distinction from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business. Sean also holds certifications from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) for Series 3 (National Commodity Futures), Series 30 (NFA Branch Manager), and Series 31 (Futures Managed Funds).
