Christina Free has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Christina started working as a Teaching & Research Assistant at Mount Allison University from September 2010 to May 2012. During this time, they conducted independent research on business ethics and capitalism, which was published in an academic journal. Christina also taught tutorial sessions to groups of students.

In 2013, Christina worked as a Risk Analyst/Financial Engineer Intern at the Ontario Financing Authority. Here, they constructed and tested financial models using Excel, Access, and VBA, and analyzed financial market activity for the trading division. Christina also conducted research on the implementation of central clearing for OTC derivatives.

In 2014, Christina started their own business called Christina Free Music. Christina served as the Owner, Instructor, and Musician, providing private music instruction in violin, voice, and piano. Christina also worked as a professional musician for weddings and events and created and taught a music and movement program for young children called Do Re Mi Babies.

Additionally, they worked at Capital Power Corporation from June 2014 to November 2017. Christina initially held the role of Real Time Power Trader, where they optimized power asset trade execution and identified value-adding opportunities. Christina purchased natural gas for power facilities. Later, they became a Strategic Portfolio Management Specialist, responsible for portfolio management and corporate strategy analysis.

Overall, Christina Free has gained experience in teaching and research, financial analysis, risk assessment, business ownership, and strategic planning throughout their career.

Christina Free pursued their education at the University of Toronto from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Masters of Mathematical Finance degree. Prior to that, they attended Mount Allison University from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics and Philosophy.
