Emma Coyle has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Emma started their career as a Scheduler and Real Time Trader at TransAlta in 2008, where they worked until 2011. Emma then joined TransCanada as a Power Compliance Manager and worked there until 2012. Emma then moved to TransAlta again and served as the Manager of Regulatory and Legal Compliance from 2012 to 2015. Emma then joined PetroChina International (Canada) Trading Ltd. as a Compliance and Regulatory professional and worked there until 2016. Emma's next role was as the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel at Goreway Station Partnership, where they worked for three years until 2019. Currently, Emma is the Director of Regulatory & Environmental Policy at Capital Power, a position they have held since July 2019.
Emma Coyle completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at Western University from 2001 to 2005. Emma then went on to pursue a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Dalhousie University, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Most recently, in 2022 to 2023, Emma attended the Ivey Business School at Western University to obtain an Executive MBA.
