Matt Nestler

Software Engineer at Caplight

Matt Nestler has worked in the software engineering industry since 2012. Matt began their career as a Software Quality Assurance Intern at Ad Astra Information Systems in 2012. In 2015, they moved to InstaViser as a QA Tester/Junior Developer, where they tested the new iOS application before launch and ran quality assurance on the main web application and numerous white-label versions. In 2016, they worked as a Developer at YEP Technologies, where they helped to develop a mobile application using the Ionic platform. In 2017, they worked as an Exhibit Facilitator at Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley and as a Quality Assurance Freelance at TBG (The Berndt Group). In 2018, they returned to Ad Astra as a Product Owner, Software Engineer, and Associate Software Engineer. In 2021, they moved to Dun & Bradstreet as a Senior Software Engineer, transitioning the Lattice/Rev. Up ABX codebase from Angular to React with Typescript. Currently, they work as a Software Engineer at Caplight and as a Senior Software Engineer at Coursedog.

Matt Nestler attended Shawnee Mission East High School from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained their High School diploma. Matt then attended Kansas State University from 2014 to 2015, studying Computer Science. Lastly, they attended University of California, Berkeley from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science, with a minor in Computer Science.
