Matty Abel

Matty Abel has a diverse work experience in various roles related to fitness and community engagement. In 2009, they started working as a Trainer at Vision Personal Training Frenchs Forest and eventually became the Director from June 2010 to May 2012. In 2012, Matty founded DBA Runners, a running community that offers online coaching services. Matty continues to work as the Owner and Coach of DBA Runners. Matty also worked for Nike as the Head Coach of NRC+ from October 2016 to December 2019. In 2017, they became an Ambassador for the Wings for Life USA Spinal Cord Research Foundation Inc., and they served in that role until January 2020. In 2018, Matty co-founded both the Vipers Run Club, a community-based running group, and Capra. Additionally, they became an Ambassador for lululemon Australia & New Zealand in July 2020 and will continue in that role until June 2022. Through all these experiences, Matty Abel has demonstrated a passion for fitness, community building, and helping individuals achieve their goals.

Matty Abel attended Balgowlah Boys High from 2000 to 2005, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field of study during this time. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1999, they attended Beacon Hill without earning a degree or specializing in any specific field of study. Matty Abel has an additional certification in Fitness, known as Cert 4 in Fitness, but the institution, month, and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
