Rich Thomson is the managing partner and founder of Caprice Capital Partners. Prior to founding Caprice, they were a managing director at Brightwood Capital Advisors from October 2015 to May 2019. At Brightwood, they oversaw two Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) vehicles and several Limited Partnerships. Rich also provided capital solutions in five core areas: Technology & Telecommunications, Healthcare Services, Business Services, Transportation & Logistics and Franchising.
Before joining Brightwood, Thomson was the senior vice president of asset based lending at Citi from October 2012 to October 2015. While at Citi, they managed a team of lenders and analysts that provided financing to middle market companies across the United States.
Thomson began their career at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC in 2001, where they held various positions before becoming the senior vice president of asset based lending in 2012.
Thomson has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry and holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Tennessee.
Rich Thomson has a BS in Business Finance from Saint Mary's College of California and an AA in Individual Studies from Foothill College.
