Loren Padilla

Loren Padilla, M.S. is a Senior Research Associate at Capsida Biotherapeutics since January 2022, focusing on optimizing RNA extraction processes through designing, executing experiments, analyzing data, and presenting results. Prior roles include Research Technician on the Nucleic Acid Extraction Team, isolating genetic material from non-human primate and mouse tissues for AAV capsid locality studies. Loren's experience also encompasses a Graduate Student Researcher position at California State University, Northridge, where transcriptomic data was generated and analyzed for anaerobic bacteria, along with extensive RNA extraction and sequencing. Previous laboratory roles included cultivating pathogenic microbes at Los Angeles County Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and managing public health specimen influx at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
