HR Consultant at Capsticks

Daniel is an HR Consultant for Capsticks HR Advisory Service and carries out ad-hoc project and consultancy work for the service, his current work includes leading the contract for an HR Advisory service at a local stately home, as well as numerous investigation projects with a variety of organisations including complex investigations at NHS Trusts. He also recently completed a successful attendance improvement project for a regional fire service.

Daniel joined Capsticks in September 2014 and has ten years prior HR experience at a variety of levels. For the five years prior to his move to Capsticks Daniel was the Head of HR at a Merseyside based Further Education establishment, whereby he was a member of the Senior Management Team and was responsible for the strategic HR management for the organisation as well as operational management for the HR team.

In his previous role as HR Advisor at Capsticks Daniel managed a varied caseload, including complex bullying and harassment cases, disciplinary investigations and grievance cases. Daniel is also a trained and experienced MHPS investigator.

Daniel has significant experience in organisational change management processes and restructuring, having led consultation processes and staff reductions of up to 40% over three years at his previous organisation.

He has experience in recruitment and selection, leading on end to end processes across a variety of levels up to and including the induction stage.

He also has experience in negotiating with staff side and trade union representatives in relation to a wide variety of organisational issues, including collective grievances, organisational change and changing terms and conditions.

Daniel has led on the creation and delivery of training programmes such as absence management, performance improvement and managing investigations.

He has also become the sole advisor for a local GP practice to provide specialist HR advice when required.
