Lydia Jones

Lydia is an associate in the Leeds employment and pensions team. Lydia trained in Cumbria and moved to Leeds in February 2020.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Lydia worked as a Legal Adviser for Consumer Direct which ultimately inspired her to become a solicitor, with a particular interest to work on behalf of the public sector.

Upon qualification, Lydia worked as a litigation solicitor before joining Capsticks’ Employment team.

Lydia has experience of dealing with complex employment tribunal matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, protected disclosure and harassment claims.

Lydia also has experience in providing non-contentious support to clients, including drafting employment contracts and settlement agreements.

Lydia also provides advocacy at preliminary hearings in the Employment Tribunal.

Lydia is an active member of the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives such as the pro bono clinic at South West London Law Centres.

Lydia is also a mentee for the Law Career Mentor Scheme at Leeds Beckett University.
