Lead Engineer at Capsule

David Whitely's work experience begins with their role as a Freelance Web Developer at Skull Squad from March 2008 to July 2009. David then worked as a Freelance Technology Consultant at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago from July 2009 to April 2010. David also served as a Freelance Web Consultant at The Museum of Modern Art from September 2009 to August 2010, where they migrated the company intranet to a new MySQL-based system and made interface improvements and layout changes.

From January 2010 to January 2011, David worked as a Front End Developer at Pronto.com, where they focused on pixel-perfect front-end development and cross-browser compatibility. At Code and Theory, they held multiple roles from January 2011 to June 2018, starting as a Front-End Developer and progressing to Senior Developer and Creative Technologist. David collaborated with various clients such as Hearst, Foursquare, Vogue, Maybelline, and Comcast.

After that, David worked as a Senior Creative Technologist at Local Projects from June 2018 to December 2018, utilizing Node.js, Vue, Python, Flask, and openFrameworks. From December 2018 to September 2019, they served as a Senior Creative Technologist at HUSH, primarily using Node.js, Cinder, Python, Flask, and React.

Following these roles, David joined Work & Co as a Senior Developer from September 2019 to November 2021. David then worked as a Software Engineer at Webflow from October 2021 to March 2023. Currently, David holds the position of Lead Engineer at Capsule, starting in March 2023.

David Whitely attended Northwestern University from 2000 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Technology & Jazz Upright Bass.
