Val Chapman

Val Chapman has worked in various roles since 2016. In that year, they began as a Software Engineer Intern at Workiva, and also served as a Peer Mentor at Iowa State University. In 2018, Val Chapman started working at SC Data Center, Inc. an affilate of Colony Brands, Inc. as a Cloud Data Engineer and Jr. Cloud Data Engineer. In 2019, they joined Vertical Trail as a Cloud Engineer. In 2021, Val Chapman began working at Zendesk as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they joined CaptivateIQ as a Release Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer.

Val Chapman completed an Associate of Arts degree at Rock Valley College from 2012 to 2014. Val then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering at Iowa State University from 2014 to 2018. In 2019, Val obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2020, they obtained both an AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification and a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Scrum.org, respectively.
