Chanon MacDonald, CFP®, MPAS™ has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Currently, they are working as a Senior Associate Relationship Manager at CAPTRUST, a leading independent advisory firm. In this role, they focus on providing institutional and private investors with objective financial advice and fiduciary support. Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Chanon worked as a Financial Planner at TrustCore from 2021 to 2023.

Before entering the financial services industry, Chanon gained experience as a Healthcare Consultant from 2017 to 2020. They served in a project manager role at The Physicians Alliance Corporation from 2008 to 2017. Additionally, Chanon worked as a Teacher at Bronzeville Scholastic Institute from 2012 to 2015, where they contributed to the development of students' academic growth.

During their time at Purdue University from 2006 to 2009, Chanon held multiple positions. They worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, conducting research to understand the impact of Pectin Acetyl Esterase genes on cell adhesion and growth. They also served as an Administrative Assistant during this period. Furthermore, Chanon volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital as an Emergency Room Volunteer in 2007, gaining valuable exposure to the healthcare profession.

Chanon MacDonald, CFP®, MPAS™, obtained a Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, they completed a Certificate in the Financial Planning Education Program at the same institution. In 2010 to 2012, Chanon MacDonald pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Education, specializing in Biology, from DePaul University. Their undergraduate studies were conducted from 2005 to 2009 at Purdue University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Genetic Biology.

In addition to their formal education, Chanon MacDonald has obtained two certifications. They obtained the Master Planner Advanced Studies™ certification from the College for Financial Planning in January 2023. They also hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification from the CFP Board since December 2022.
