Jon P. Atchison, CGEIT®, CRISC®, has extensive work experience in the field of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, particularly in IT Information Security and Network.

From 2020 to the present, Jon has held various leadership positions at CAPTRUST, starting as a Lead and progressing to a Senior Lead and Senior Team Lead. These roles involve overseeing governance, risk, and compliance activities related to IT information security and network.

Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Jon worked at Welch Hornsby, Inc. from 2002 to 2020. During this time, they held multiple roles, including Information Security Coordinator, Systems Development Analyst, and Publications Manager. In these positions, Jon played a key role in managing information security, analyzing systems development, and overseeing publication operations.

Before joining Welch Hornsby, Inc., Jon briefly worked as a Typesetting Manager at Copy Center, LLC in 2002.

Jon P. Atchison, CGEIT®, CRISC®, obtained their MBA in Finance from Troy University, where they studied from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Auburn University at Montgomery, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Atchison has also acquired two additional certifications. Jon P. became Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) in September 2021 through ISACA, and acquired the certification of Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) in November 2020 from the same institution.
