Gyubong Oh

Gyubong Oh is an experienced expert in connectivity standards with a focus on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies. Currently serving as a CCC UWB MAC Standards and Certification Program Expert at the Car Connectivity Consortium since July 2022, Gyubong contributes to the UWB PHY/MAC Certification Program and the UWB MAC Conformance Test Specification. In conjunction, Gyubong has co-led multiple certification programs within the FiRa Consortium since November 2018, including initiatives for physical access and indoor positioning. At Samsung Electronics since March 2001, roles include Staff Engineer for Connectivity Standards, overseeing UWB and BLE technologies, and managing standards projects. Previous leadership positions include Chairman of the OCF Zigbee/Z-Wave Bridging Project and contributions to standardization efforts at GSMA and Open Mobile Alliance. Gyubong holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Communications Engineering from Hanyang University.
