Simona Nedelcovici

Simona Nedelcovici, MD has a diverse work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Simona is currently working as an Associate Medical Director in Clinical Development at Cara Therapeutics since 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2022 to 2023. Simona also worked at Novartis as an aCDMD Rheumatology Rotator from 2021 to 2022. Simona had a long tenure at Novartis, where they served in various roles such as CRA Manager, CRA Group Head/Clinical Study Manager, and Senior CRA/Lead CRA from 2009 to 2020. Before that, they worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Sanofi from 2007 to 2009. Simona's early work experience includes working as a Specialist Physician in Medical Genetics at Genetic Lab, where they evaluated, diagnosed, and treated patients with genetic health issues and managed genetic testing services. Simona also served as a Junior Assistant Professor in the Genetics and Cell Biology Department at the Faculty of Medicine 'Ovidius' University from 2000 to 2003.

Simona Nedelcovici, MD has a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universitatea OVIDIUS din Constanta, obtained between 1992 and 1998. Simona then completed their education at the Romanian Health Ministry, specializing in Clinical Genetics and obtaining a European Board certificate in 2005. Additionally, they also specialized in Endocrinology, earning another European Board certificate in 2018.
