Lori Evans Bernstein

Lori Evans Bernstein has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning several industries. Lori Evans is currently the CEO and co-founder of Caraway, a company founded in 2022. Previously, Lori held various roles at Accolade, Inc., including serving as an Accolade member after they acquired HealthReveal in September 2021. At HealthReveal, Lori was the co-founder, president, and COO from March 2015 to December 2020, and then remained involved as a co-founder and president until October 2021 when it was acquired by Accolade. Prior to that, Lori was the president and board member at GSI Health from November 2010 to January 2015. Lori Evans also served as the CEO of ActiveHealth Provider at ActiveHealth Management from April 2009 to September 2010.

In the public sector, Lori held significant positions at the New York State Department of Health, Office of Health IT Transformation, where they were the deputy commissioner from January 2007 to February 2009. During their time there, they played a pivotal role in launching and funding the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHINY).

Lori's experience also includes working as a senior advisor in the George W. Bush administration at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), Department of Health & Human Services from April 2004 to March 2006. Here, they were involved in the launch of several programs related to electronic health record adoption, interoperability, and privacy and security.

Additionally, Lori worked as a director at CareScience, Inc., a clinical decision support company, from January 1998 to August 2004. CareScience was later acquired by Premier healthcare informatics.

Lori Evans Bernstein has a Master's Degree in Public Health and Health Policy from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Lori Evans also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. Their education journey began at Richard Montgomery High School, where they completed their high school education.
