Miriam Wilson has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Miriam started their career with a research scientist internship at GSK in 2008. Miriam then worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Bristol, where they collaborated with Ziylo on the development of synthetic lectins. Miriam also served as an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Award Fellow and a Novo Nordisk STAR Fellow during their time at the University of Bristol. In 2017, they joined Ziylo as a postdoctoral research associate, continuing their work on synthetic lectins. Miriam later worked as an innovation consultant at Spin Up Science from September 2019 to March 2022. Miriam then transitioned to Carbometrics, where they initially held the position of senior scientist and later became a scientific consultant. Miriam's most recent role was at the University of Liverpool as a project manager and knowledge exchange scientist.
Miriam Wilson has a strong educational background in chemistry. Miriam began their studies at The University of Edinburgh in 2005 and completed their Master's Degree in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry with Industrial Experience in 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, Miriam pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Synthetic and Supramolecular Chemistry, first at The University of Edinburgh from 2010 to 2012, and then at The University of Manchester from 2012 to 2015.
