George H. Richards III

George H. Richards III has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2014 as a Lifeguard at Aspetuck Valley Country Club. From 2018 to 2018, they worked as an Ecology Lab Assistant at Tulane University, where they assisted with graduate student research and conducted their own research project. In 2019, George had a Chemistry Tech Service Internship at King Industries, where they learned and executed grease test methods and participated in R&D projects involving chemical synthesis and analysis. In 2020, they worked at Tulane University as a Laboratory Assistant, performing synthetic reactions, analyzing products, and aiding in the optimization of synthetic reactions for high product yields. Also in 2020, George worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manufacturing Associate, gaining experience in both downstream and upstream processes in the production of AAV viral vectors. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at Carmine Therapeutics as a Principal Associate Scientist, managing logistics, planning, and production for the creation of RBCEVs for gene therapy. George H. also developed novel methods for the purification of gene therapy RBCEV vectors and implemented robust batch records and SOPs for vector production. Currently, George is a Process Development Engineer at Carbon Biosciences, starting in 2023.

George H. Richards III completed their high school education at Fairfield College Preparatory School from 2012 to 2016, earning a High School Diploma. George H. then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Tulane University from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, George H. Richards III also holds a certification in CPR and Lifeguard from the Red Cross, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
