Marc Abrams

As Chief Scientific Officer of Carbon, Dr. Abrams brings more than 25 years of discovery and early development expertise spanning multiple therapeutic areas, drug modalities and platform technologies. Most recently, Dr. Abrams served as the Senior Vice President of Discovery Research at Dicerna Pharmaceuticals where he provided R&D leadership to advance the company’s pipeline of innovative therapeutics and lead a department of experienced Ph.D. discovery biologists and pharmacologists to perform impactful discovery and IND-enabling research.

Dr. Abrams holds a Ph.D. from Thomas Jefferson University, a Master’s in biology from the University of Rochester, and an undergraduate degree from Drexel University. An RNA therapeutics subject matter expert, Dr. Abrams has spent his career attempting to create value for patients, care providers, employees, the scientific community, and financial stakeholders.
