Stefano Ambrogi began their career in 1992 as an Assistant Editor and researcher for Economist Books at The Economist. Stefano then moved on to work as an Editor and Deputy Editor at Euromoney, where they managed a team and re-launched a title on international air transport. In 1996, Ambrogi worked as a News Reporter for the Tico Times in Central America, covering politics, economy, business, and the environment. Stefano later joined The Daily Telegraph as a Sub-editor for the Electronic Telegraph. Ambrogi then worked as a Correspondent for Reuters, specializing in the oil, energy, and maritime industries. Stefano eventually became a Senior Correspondent, leading a virtual team of two reporters in Asia and the Americas. In 2012, they worked as a Freelance Writer before joining the European Climate Foundation as an International Communications Manager. Finally, Ambrogi joined Carbon Tracker in 2015, initially serving as the Media & External Relations Manager and later transitioning to the role of Head of News & Communications. Stefano played a key role in building the organization's global brand and gaining media interest for their groundbreaking research in the climate change and environment space.

Stefano Ambrogi has a post-graduate degree in Magazine Journalism from Reed International, Reed Business Publishing. Stefano also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics/Economics from The University of Huddersfield.
