Shao-Wei Li, Ph.D. has a wide range of experience in the field of chemistry and materials science. They started their career at Johnson Matthey in 1995 as a Research and Development Chemist, where they focused on developing conductive adhesive polymer formulations for semi-conductor flip-chip applications. They also gained experience in the characterization of polymer chemical and physical properties using analytical instruments.

In 1999, Li joined HP as an Analytical Chemist, where they worked on various roles over the years. As an Analytical Chemist, they were responsible for conducting analyses of materials using different techniques. They later transitioned to the role of an Ink Chemist, where they focused on the development of inks for HP printers.
