Sophia Xu

Sophia Xu is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at CarbonBridge, focusing on converting waste greenhouse gas into sustainable fuel through an innovative bioreactor and microbial processes. With experience in prestigious accelerator programs like IndieBio and HAX, Sophia has developed skills in R&D, manufacturing, and engineering. Previous roles include research and support positions at Sino Biological and Uniphage Inc., as well as exemplary leadership in iGEM competitions, where projects received gold medals. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and has significantly contributed to entrepreneurship initiatives within the university.
