Pedro Pereira-Almao

Pedro Pereira-Almao has a diverse work experience in the technology and energy sectors. Pedro is currently a Co-Founder and CSO at Nanos Tech, where they lead the production of nano-catalysts and catalysts based processes for various industries. Prior to Nanos Tech, Pedro served as a Professor at the University of Calgary from 2003, specializing in research and development of hydrocarbon and carbohydrate conversion, as well as catalyst and adsorbent design. Pedro co-invented multiple processes and catalysts, including methane conversion to ethylene and carbon nano-fibers. Pedro also co-founded Carbonova Corp. in 2018. Before their academic career, they worked at PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. as the Heavy Oils Processing and Research Manager for a significant period of time. Recently, Pedro co-founded Litus Inc. and is currently serving as a Technology Development Specialist.

Pedro Pereira-Almao pursued their education in Chemistry-Catalysis, obtaining both a BS and a Doctorate degree. From 1975 to 1979, they attended Université de Poitiers.
