Jo Thorburn

Jo Thorburn has a diverse work experience history spanning over two decades. Jo is currently employed as the Head of People Operations at Card Factory since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the HR Director - UK & Europe Retail at Pomvom from December 2019 to January 2022.

Earlier in their career, Jo worked as a Senior HR Business Partner at Equifax from January 2013 to December 2019. Jo also held the position of HR Manager at Experian - Riskdisk for a brief period in 2012.

Before joining Experian, Jo had a significant tenure of six years, from 2005 to 2011, where they held various HR roles including HR Process and Governance Manager - UK & EMEA, Lead HR Manager - Shared Services, and Head of Recruitment.

Jo'sprofessional journey started in 2001 at The University of Nottingham, where they worked as a Recruitment Manager responsible for centralised recruitment, process improvement, advertising campaigns, and assessment methods.

Jo Thorburn earned a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Middlesex University between 1986 and 1990. Following that, they pursued a Post Grad degree in Law at the University of East London from 1994 to 1995. Jo then obtained a CIPD degree with a Merit at Nottingham Trent University from 2001 to 2003.
