Karim Afas

Karim Afas has a diverse background in software development, with a strong focus on mobile app development using Flutter. Karim has experience working with various technologies and has demonstrated expertise in both front-end and back-end development.

At Cardeo, Karim worked as a Lead Mobile Engineer, where they implemented and maintained features for the fintech app. Karim also led a team and provided training in the adoption of the Flutter framework.

Prior to that, Karim worked at WithU as a Flutter Developer, collaborating closely with Product and Commercial teams to deliver innovative features for an audio-based fitness app.

Karim also has experience as a Full-stack Developer at MyNewTerm, where they built and improved a recruitment and applicant-tracking web application using PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

At Sloff, Karim kickstarted the development of a mobile app dedicated to prioritizing employee mental health. Karim leveraged Flutter for the frontend and architected the backend infrastructure using a blend of Firebase services and PHP Laravel API.

Karim's experience also includes working as a Flutter Developer at Speedy Pizza, where they developed a dynamic web application for order management and real-time rider tracking for a high-volume restaurant business.

Throughout their career, Karim has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has actively participated in Agile environments, including scrum ceremonies and sprint planning. Karim has also shown a keen expertise in server management and security, optimizing code for scalability and reusability.

Karim Afas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Songwriting from BIMM London between the years 2016 and 2019.
