Alexander Michailidis has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Alexander currently works as a Program Manager at Cardinal Point Captains, Inc since December 2021. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2001, Alexander was a Program Manager at SAIC, where they managed energy conservation and oil spill prevention projects for Pacific Gas and Electric and the Environmental Protection Agency respectively.
Between 1997 and 1999, Alexander worked as an Environmental Investigator for the City of Palo Alto, conducting compliance investigations and developing discharge permits and policies to ensure water quality regulations were met. Alexander also managed pollution prevention inspections and the "Clean Bay Business" certification program.
Alexander's early career includes environmental engineering roles at SAIC from 1989 to 1997, where they administered NASA Ames' industrial waste discharge program and conducted compliance inspections and audits throughout the U.S. Alexander'swork led to cost reductions and regulatory compliance for mission-critical operations.

Alexander Michailidis attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Alexander studied Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering and Public Policy during their time at the university. In 1999, they pursued further education at the University of San Francisco, completing a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management in 2000.
