Laura Villarreal Becerra is an accomplished bacteriologist with extensive experience in clinical laboratory settings and research. Currently serving as the Clinical Studies Coordinator at Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia since March 2020, Laura oversees the packaging and transport of biological samples, along with processing and interpreting laboratory tests in microbiology and hematology. Previous roles include Blood Bank Supervisor at E.S.E Hospital La Vega, where Laura managed laboratory quality control and equipment, and Microbiologist at Higuera Escalante & Cia Ltda. Laura has contributed to significant research projects during academic tenure, including work on gastric cancer treatment and the characterization of microbiological samples for biogas production. Academic credentials include a degree in Microbiology and Bioanalysis from Universidad Industrial de Santander, complemented by specialized training in quality control and clinical laboratory techniques. Laura is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in project management at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja.
