Sifa Kinoti

Sifa Kinoti is a dedicated environmental engineering student at the University of Nairobi, expected to graduate in 2024. Currently involved in multiple initiatives, Sifa participates in the YOUNGO Policy Team, assisting in global youth climate policy development, and in the Youth Stocktake Team, focusing on youth inclusion in UNFCCC processes. As the NDC Equity Tracker Project Coordinator at Care About Climate, Sifa analyzes Nationally Determined Contributions concerning gender, civil society, and intergenerational equity. Additionally, Sifa holds positions such as President of Engineers Without Borders University of Nairobi and Chairperson of the IEEE University of Nairobi Women in Engineering Student Affinity Group, promoting mentorship and partnerships in climate and sustainability. Past experiences include a trainee role at the Meru County Government, a data science internship, and various leadership positions within engineering associations. Sifa's educational background includes data science certifications from JENGA School and a high school diploma from Mount Kenya Academy.
