Soman Moodley

Soman Moodley is a seasoned professional in public affairs and humanitarian policy, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Public Affairs at CARE Australia since July 2022. Previously, Soman held positions such as Policy Manager at CARE Australia and Country Coordinator for the Lebanon Humanitarian INGO Forum from April 2019 to June 2022. Soman's extensive experience includes roles as Policy, Influencing and Media Manager and Humanitarian Policy Advisor at Oxfam (January 2016 - April 2019), Planning Officer at UNRWA (January 2014 - December 2015), and Policy and Outreach Coordinator at the Partnership Centre for Democracy and Development (July 2013 - January 2014). Additionally, Soman served as a Policy and Advocacy Advisor at CARE Bangladesh (June 2011 - June 2013) and worked as a Research Policy Officer for various political offices from 2005 to 2011. Soman holds a Masters of Arts in Development Studies from Murdoch University and a combined degree in Law and Political and International Studies from the same institution, complemented by studies at Uppsala University.
