Megan O'Connor-Hebert

Chief Administrative Officer at CARE DESIGN NY, LLC

Megan is the Chief Administrative Officer. She oversees intake, medical/healthcare, behavioral health, training, and care management operations ensuring the Care Design NY Care Coordination/Health Home mission is fulfilled. She leads a team consisting of two associate vice-presidents, ten care manager regional directors and approximately 900 care managers, supervisors, and directors.

This team delivers person-centered care coordination and health home supports and services to 26,000+ members in ten New York State regions spanning from the North Country to Long Island. They work closely with individuals, families, provider agencies, health care organizations and government entities ensuring members’ needs are met so they can live a quality life.

Megan is instrumental in aligning the Care Management department with the organization’s strategic vision and values and with strict adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements. Her managerial oversight includes hiring, on-boarding, professional development, and employee retention activities. She ensures key deliverables for care management are achieved through the tracking, collection, and analysis of key performance indicator metrics aligned to the organization’s strategic goals.

Megan started in the I/DD field as a direct support professional and held a number of positions including quality management at a not-for-profit agency in Capital District. In addition, Megan held Senior Leadership positions at NYS Commission on Quality of Care and OPWDD before coming to Care Design NY.

Megan has a Bachelor of Science from Siena College in Psychology and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University at Albany.
