Dan is currently the VP/CIO at Care Dimensions, where they are responsible for advancing technology services to support hospice, palliative care, and home care. Dan focuses on remote patient monitoring, business intelligence, mobile technologies, interoperability, and care management solutions.
Before joining Care Dimensions, Dan worked as an independent consultant providing healthcare technology advisory services. Prior to that, they were the VP Accountable Care Information Services at Steward Health Care, where they transferred their team and position to the ACO business unit to prepare for national expansion. Dan established a population health technology framework and operations team to support an aggressive national growth model and a large scale Medicaid ACO expansion program.
Dan also served as the VP of Ambulatory & Accountable Care Information Services at Steward Health Care, where they were responsible for physician office technologies and ACO accountable care technology leadership. Dan oversaw the design, implementation, and support of EHR systems, workflow optimization services, business intelligence services, and product management.
Before joining Steward Health Care, Dan was the Sr. VP/Chief Information Officer at Quincy Medical Center, where they were responsible for IT, telecommunications, concierge, and business intelligence functions. Dan had previously served as the VP of Information Systems at Caritas Christi Health Care, where they managed enterprise applications across six hospitals and physician offices. Dan also held the roles of IT Director at Saint Anne's and Norwood Hospital within the Caritas system.
Earlier in their career, Dan worked at GE-IDX as a regional manager, where they managed a regional service department and provided application support to academic medical centers. Dan also worked at MEDITECH as a manager of HCIS, where they implemented clinical pharmacy systems and managed a large-scale implementation project across the Columbia/HCA hospital network.

Dan O'Neil, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Boston College Carroll School of Management in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from Tufts University. Although the start years are not provided, it is known that Dan O'Neil pursued an M.A. in Healthcare Administration from Framingham State University.
