Martin Friend has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Martin is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Care UK, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Martin served as the Chief Operating Officer at Nuffield Health from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for strategic planning, customer experience, and team culture. Martin also held the role of Director of Fitness & Wellbeing Services at Nuffield Health from 2009 to 2017, overseeing the expansion of the company's services. Before joining Nuffield Health, Martin worked as an Associate Director at Phones 4u, where they successfully implemented operating models and achieved growth in KPI outcomes and profitability. Martin also held the position of Regional Manager at Holmes Place, managing multiple sites and supporting the company's sale to Virgin Active UK. Additionally, Martin's experience includes working at Chelsea Football Club and Esporta in various roles contributing to commercial development and operational success.

Martin Friend completed their education at Staffordshire University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a degree in Leisure & Business Studies. Martin returned to education later in their career and attended Ashridge Executive International Business School in 2016-2017, where they earned an Executive Leadership MBA. Martin'ssecondary education was completed at Geoffrey Chaucer Technology School from 1986 to 1993.
