Tony Calabrese

Tony Calabrese has a diverse work experience in coaching and networking roles. Tony is the owner and founder of Absolute Transitions, LLC, where they provide job search strategy and career change coaching to clients. Tony is a certified GetFive Career Coach and has been with Absolute Transitions since 2009. Tony has also worked as a Senior Career Coach at Careerminds since 2023. Additionally, Tony has served as a Career Consultant at REA - Partners in Transition starting in 2013. Tony has been involved with BNI (Business Network International) in various roles such as Mentor Coordinator, Vice President, Education Coordinator, and President from 2016 to 2022. Tony has also worked as a Senior Career Coach at Whitehawk Group, providing outplacement career search coaching to clients from Marriott Corporation. Tony has held leadership positions at Maplewood Chamber of Commerce, ICF - New Jersey (International Coach Federation - NJ), BNI - Business Exchange Chapter, and New Jersey Professional Coaches Association.

Tony Calabrese has a diverse education history. In 1973, they began their undergraduate studies at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering. Tony completed their Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1977.

Following their undergraduate education, Tony pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1983 to 1987. Their focus of study during this time was Accounting, which they completed successfully.

In 2008 and 2009, Tony Calabrese further expanded their education by attending the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC). During this period, they obtained two certifications: Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner. These certifications provided him with expertise in Energy Leadership Coaching, emphasizing their commitment to this field.

Continuing their professional development, Tony completed a career-enhancing program at the Five O’Clock Club, now known as Get Five, in 2011. Tony obtained a Certified Career Coach certification during this period, focusing on Career and Job Search Coaching.

In addition to their formal education, Tony also holds several additional certifications. In July 2009, they obtained the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) certification from iPEC Coaching. In the same period, they also achieved the Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) certification from the same institution, further solidifying their expertise in this area. Recently, in February 2021, Tony became a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), as indicated by the ICF Member Badge certification.
