Sarah Daugherty is a highly experienced professional in the field of genetic epidemiology, currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Carelon since September 2022. Prior to this role, Daugherty held positions such as Principal Consultant at OptumGenomics and Senior Principal Research Scientist at UnitedHealth Group. Daugherty has also contributed significantly to the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute as a Senior Program Officer and gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Predoctoral Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. Daugherty began a career as a Health Research Policy Analyst at the Research Triangle Institute. Academically, Daugherty earned a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Biology from Carleton College.
