Gurdeep Sareen

Gurdeep Sareen, PharmD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacy and healthcare. Gurdeep currently serves as an Affiliate Professor at Touro College of Pharmacy. Prior to this, they held the position of Regional Director of Pharmacy, Population Health at Optum, where they were responsible for pharmacy strategy and operations to improve medication use for value-based and FFS contracts. Gurdeep has also worked as a Medical Advisor at Verywell and as a Healthcare Consultant/Pharmacy Subject Matter Expert (SME) at GSS Consulting Services, Inc. In addition, they served as the Director of Pharmacy, Population Health at CareMount Medical and as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at NYC Health + Hospitals. Gurdeep has also held various positions at EmblemHealth, Bronx Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), Fidelis Care, and Medco, where they gained valuable experience in clinical pharmacy, quality improvement, and managed care. With their extensive background, Gurdeep Sareen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of pharmacy.

Gurdeep Sareen, PharmD, MPH completed their education as follows:

- From 2016 to 2018, they attended Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in the Executive Healthcare Policy and Management Program, specializing in Public Health.

- From 2004 to 2010, they studied at St. John's University and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, with a minor in Business.

Gurdeep also holds several additional certifications, including a Pharmacy Revenue Cycle Management Certificate from ASHP, certifications in Digital Health Strategy and Managing Digital Therapeutic Approvals from Columbia Business School, and a Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) Medication Use Quality Certificate. Gurdeep Sareen also possesses state pharmacist licenses in New Jersey and New York, and completed a PGY-1 Managed Care Residency with ASHP/Medco Health Solutions, Inc.
