Onno Schellekens

Onno Schellekens is an accomplished leader in the healthcare sector, currently serving as Chairman and CEO of CarePay International BV since May 2018, where mobile health wallets are developed to facilitate connections between healthcare payers, clinics, and patients. As a partner at Investment Funds for Health in Africa, Onno has been instrumental in securing significant investments to enhance healthcare financing in the region. In addition, Onno chairs the Joep Lange Institute, focusing on innovation in global health markets, and holds various advisory roles, including membership on the External Advisory Board for PGGM and the Amsterdam health & technology institute. As the founder of the Health Insurance Fund, Onno has introduced private health insurance plans for disadvantaged groups. Previous leadership roles include Managing Director of PharmAccess Foundation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Medical Credit Fund. Onno holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen and has furthered education at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School and INSEAD Asia.
