Julie Castelbaum

Julie Castelbaum is currently the Head of Operations at Cargado since June 2024. Prior to this role, Castelbaum served as the Head of Partnerships and Chief of Staff at Hummingbird from May 2021 to June 2024. Earlier experience includes an internship at Runa from September 2020 to May 2021 and additional internships at Pinwheel and Amplifyher Ventures. Castelbaum also held positions with Accion Venture Lab as an MBA Summer Associate (May 2020 - August 2020) and as an MBA Fellow at Angel Ventures, focusing on early-stage investments in Latin America. Prior to transitioning into the startup and investment sectors, Castelbaum spent several years at HSBC, where roles included Business Manager to the COO of Global Banking Mexico and Global Trade and Receivables Finance Associate. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Wharton School and bachelor's degrees from Uppsala University and Washington University in St. Louis.
