Yara Benavides

Yara Benavides, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist at Cargill since September 2021, specializing in flavor research. Prior to this role, Yara served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from September 2017 to June 2021. Previous experience includes positions such as Product Development Innovation Intern at Ocean Spray Cranberries, Instructor/Researcher at Corporacion Universitaria Lasallista, Projects Manager in Food Application at Naturex, and various research and intern roles across multiple institutions. Yara holds a PhD in Food Science from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree in Food and Health from Institut supérieur d'Agriculture de Beauvais, and a Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering from Unilasallista.
