Stefano Pierini has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2010. Stefano began as a Research Fellow at the University of Westminster, where they designed, cloned, and expressed recombinant blocking scFvs against P. falcifarum's specific proteins. In 2011, they became a Research Fellow at the Medical University of Sofia. In 2013, they began their PhD studies at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, they have been a Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist II at Carisma Therapeutics.
Stefano Pierini received their BSc in Biothecnology from the University of Camerino in 2008, and their MSc in Molecular Biology from the same university in 2011.
