Dr. Shih-Ya Chen

Dr. Shih-Ya Chen currently serves as an Innovation Researcher at ZEISS Group since April 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Technische Universität Darmstadt from February 2020 to January 2022 and as a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry from August 2020 to December 2021. Dr. Chen began a research career as a PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) between May 2016 and December 2019 and held a brief position as a Scientist at Hamburg University of Technology in early 2016. An internship at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology took place from February 2014 to April 2015. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Chemistry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena (2016-2020), a Master of Science in Optics from the same institution (2012-2015), and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from National Taiwan Normal University (2009-2011).
