Oğuz Özgen has a solid work experience in the field of data analytics and data science. Oğuz currently holds the role of Head of Data Analytics at ZEISS Group, starting from January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at OSRAM for a significant period of time, starting in May 2017 and ending in December 2021. During their time at OSRAM, Oğuz led a team of data scientists and engineers, contributing to the establishment of a company-wide big data analytics platform. Oğuz was involved in improving demand planning, enhancing product quality in semiconductor manufacturing, and implementing AI solutions for customer engagement in both B2B and B2C settings. Before joining OSRAM, Oğuz worked at Daimler AG as a Jr. Data Scientist from March 2015 to February 2016. Oğuz'srole at Daimler focused on developing a tool to predict and simulate high voltage battery lifetimes in electric vehicles using statistical machine learning models and data from a large number of in-field Daimler vehicles worldwide.
Oğuz Özgen completed a Bachelor's degree in Statistics at TU Dortmund University. Oğuz then pursued a Master's degree in Statistics at the same university, which they successfully completed in 2017. Additionally, they participated in an exchange semester at The University of Sheffield, focusing on Biostatistics & AI. Moreover, they were enrolled in the MBA department at National Taiwan University, although specific start and end dates are not provided for this program.
