Xiang Lu is an Optical Designer at ZEISS Group since February 2021, with a strong background in optical system design. Previously, Xiang served as a PhD student in the Optical System Design Group at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena from January 2017 to February 2021, focusing on the design and simulation of optical systems, surface tolerancing, and straylight analysis. Teaching experience includes roles as a lecturer and seminar tutor for various subjects related to optics. Xiang's early career included an internship at Leibniz-Institut für Photonische Technologien, where the optical design of a light-sheet illumination system was undertaken. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Optical Design and Simulation and a Master's in Photonics, both from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and a Bachelor's degree in Optical and Electrical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
