Alastair Mullin

Alastair Mullin currently serves as the Director of Government Relations at Carleton University, where responsibilities include fostering strong relationships with government entities and developing a digital government relations strategy. As the Principal at Mullin Strategic, Alastair provides strategic advice in communications, digital marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at Employment and Social Development Canada, where leadership was provided for a bilateral agreement with British Columbia, and Director of Communications at SSHRC-CRSH, focusing on research funding policy. Alastair also held significant positions at the University of Ottawa, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, with a track record of enhancing institutional reputation and securing funding. Currently, Alastair is pursuing an MBA at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, building on a BA Honours in Classics and Communications from the University of Ottawa.
