Fred Olayele, PhD has an extensive and diverse work experience. Fred is currently a Member of the Academic Advisory Board at Cornell Emerging Markets Institute, where they provide thought leadership on emerging markets in the global economy. Fred is also a Board Director at Canada's Ocean Supercluster, contributing to the growth of the ocean industries in Canada. Previously, they served as a Professor & Director at Regional Innovation North, focusing on regional innovation and development. Fred has also held roles such as Senior Fellow at The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and Senior Partner & Founder at EIPG Development Partners. Fred has been involved with various organizations, including the International Economic Development Council and The Economic Club of Africa Network, where they have contributed their expertise in economic development and policy. Fred has also taught and conducted research at Carleton University and Crandall University. Prior to joining Cornell Emerging Markets Institute, Fred was the Chief Economist & Senior Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Fred Olayele, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics from Lancaster University and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from the University of Victoria. Fred also holds a certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.
