Kathryn Elliott has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kathryn worked at Carleton University for several years, holding positions such as Lead, Science Communications, Manager, Operations and Communications, Communications Officer, and Graduate Administrator. Kathryn also worked as an Information Officer and Project and Event Planning Administrator at the university. Additionally, Kathryn worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Institute for Data Science. Kathryn later established their own consultancy, Kathryn Elliott Communications, where they offered services in communications strategy, branding, and social media management. Kathryn also provided performance coaching to individuals. Kathryn served as the Chair of the Knowledge Mobilization and Communication Committee at NSERC PermafrostNet. In their previous role at the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau, Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, they were responsible for developing and coordinating external communications plans and public relations activities. At the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they worked as a Motivational Interviewer, and at Kathryn Consulting, they served as a Mental Performance Consultant. Kathryn also held roles as a Program Coordinator and Motivational Speaker at Weight Watchers Eastern Ontario (WWEO) Corporate Office.
Kathryn Elliott has an Hon. Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with a minor in History from Carleton University. Kathryn also holds a Master's Degree in Human Kinetics - Intervention and Consultation from the University of Ottawa. In addition, they have certifications in Crisis Communication from LinkedIn, Kinàmàgawin Indigenous Learning Certificate from Carleton University, and PMP Certification Training from The Knowledge Academy.
