Darren Botha has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Darren started their professional career as an intern at the Deutsche Bundesbank in 2015. Following that, they worked as a working student at FERI Gruppe from December 2015 to June 2016. Darren then gained experience as an intern/volunteer at the Crossroads Foundation from January 2017 to April 2017. Darren further enhanced their skills by interning at EY in various roles within financial services, including restructuring, transaction diligence, and quantitative risk advisory from September 2017 to March 2019. Darren also served as a research assistant at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from March 2019 to August 2019. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an associate special projects at hypcloud. In 2021, Darren joined CrossLend as a junior executive project manager before transitioning to a role at CARL in February 2022 as a senior analyst. Currently, they hold the position of M&A manager at CARL which began in January 2023. Throughout their career, Darren has gained valuable experience in various aspects of project management, financial services, research, and special projects.
Darren Botha completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Fast Track Study Program) at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from 2014 to 2017. In 2016, they also attended UNSW as part of their Bachelor's program. Prior to that, they obtained their Abitur degree from Altkönigschule in 2014. Darren later pursued a Master of Science degree in Finance and Investments at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, from 2018 to 2020. In 2019, they had the opportunity to participate in an MBA Exchange program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
