Karen Clay

Karen Clay has a diverse work experience that spans several organizations and roles. Karen currently serves as the Director of IT Governance at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of IT at the same school from October 2005 to September 2019, where they were responsible for managing the school's IT infrastructure and equipment.

Before joining Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, Karen had their own consulting business called Clay Consulting LLC, where they provided strategic planning, network design and support, video production, and brand identity development services. Karen also worked as the Technology Coordinator at Hannah More School, where they developed and implemented the school's technology plan and managed eRate-funding proposals.

Karen has also held various roles in other organizations such as The Accreditation Council and The Family League of Baltimore City, where they worked on reviewing and developing management information systems. Additionally, they served as the Director of Advocacy and Court Monitor at The Arc of the District of Columbia, Inc., and as a Staff Development Trainer at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Overall, Karen Clay has a strong background in information technology and strategic planning, with experience in education, consulting, and non-profit sectors.

Karen Clay obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and Teaching from Georgia State University, where they attended from 1973 to 1977. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Technology in Education at The Johns Hopkins University, from 1985 to 1988.
