Ashley Townshend is a Senior Fellow for Indo-Pacific Security at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Ashley has extensive experience in various roles such as Non-Resident Senior Fellow and Director of Foreign Policy and Defence at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Ashley also has experience as a Visiting Fellow at Australian Defence College, Fudan University, and Australian National University. Ashley holds a Master's Degree in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford and has degrees from University of Sydney, Sciences Po, and is currently a Visiting Student at Peking University for an Intensive Chinese Language Program.
