Adrian Velasquez MD MPH ATSF has extensive work experience in the medical field. Adrian currently serves as the CEO and Owner of Sleep Better Clinic since July 2018. Adrian is also the Medical Director of the Sleep Implanted Devices (Inspire) Program at Carney Hospital, where they are responsible for patient care and clinical practice. Additionally, they are an Intensivist at Carney Hospital.

Previously, Dr. Velasquez has held positions such as Clinical Assistant Professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Volunteer MD at Clinica Esperanza, and Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they focused on improving ICU outcomes using data-driven approaches.

Adrian has also been an active member of the American Thoracic Society, serving on the Health Equality and Diversity Committee to enhance healthcare equality and diversity.

Dr. Velasquez has held leadership positions at Newport Hospital as the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care/Hospital Medicine and at Roger Williams Medical Center as a Sleep Medicine Physician.

Their career began as a Critical Care Medicine Fellow at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and they also participated in the Leadership Preventive Medicine program at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice.

Adrian Velasquez MD MPH ATSF completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

In 1992 to 1996, they attended De La Salle University where they obtained their La Salle Greenhills High School degree.

From 1996 to 2000, Adrian Velasquez went to the University of the Philippines, Manila and earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General.

Between 2000 and 2004, they attended the University of East College of Medicine and achieved their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Following that, from 2004 to 2005, Adrian Velasquez completed a Post-Graduate Internship at the University of the Philippines / Philippine General Hospital.

From 2010 to 2011, they pursued a Clinical Research Fellow position at Harvard Medical School, specializing in Sleep Medicine.

In 2012 to 2014, Adrian Velasquez obtained a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

In terms of additional certifications, Adrian Velasquez received several board certifications as well. Adrian earned their Board Certification in Sleep Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2011 and their Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 2010 from the same institution. Adrian also became Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2015.

In 2017, Adrian Velasquez acquired two certifications, namely Board Certified in Preventive Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine and Certification in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine from the American College of Preventive Medicine.

Lastly, Adrian Velasquez obtained several other certificates, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth in 2014 and Introduction to Clinical Investigation from Harvard Catalyst in 2010.
