Sandeen Rowe

Sandeen Rowe has a diverse work experience in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). They began their career as a Home Health Aide at Hopeton Care in February 2011 and worked there until September 2012. In June 2013, Sandeen joined The TemPositions Group of Companies as a Direct Care Professional and later became a Congregate Care Worker. They also served as an Administrative Temp for a brief period in October-November 2014. During their time at The TemPositions Group, Sandeen primarily worked as a Direct Support Professional, providing comprehensive support to individuals in achieving personal goals, maintaining a safe and clean home, and assisting with fiscal management. They continued in this role until August 2021.

In August 2019, Sandeen joined New Horizon Counseling Center as a Care Coordinator, responsible for coordinating care for individuals. Their tenure in this role lasted until December 2019. Sandeen briefly worked as a Direct Support Professional at New York Beacon Group / Beacon Therapy from April to July 2021. Currently, Sandeen is working as a Care Manager at Advance Care Alliance of New York, where they oversee and coordinate access to services for people in the I/DD community. Sandeen brings 12 years of experience in the I/DD field and is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities by providing comprehensive care management and coordination of services.

Sandeen attended the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Advertising Marketing Communications.

From 2011 to 2015, they attended DeVry University and earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Technical Management- Accounting.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sandeen has obtained several certifications. In October 2021, they received certifications in Benefits and Entitlements: Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, and Personal Allowance from the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. Sandeen also received certifications in Abuse Prevention and Promoting Safe Environments, Foundations of OPWDD, HIPAA Security, Healthcare Needs for People with IDD: Assessing Healthcare Needs, and Person-Centered Planning for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities from Relias in August 2021. Furthermore, they received certifications in OPWDD Core, SCIP-R, and First Aid/CPR from the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the American Red Cross in April 2021.
